1975 Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier "Thrilla in Manila" On-Site Broadside. The fact that two of Muhammad Ali's greatest bouts were waged overseas has greatly complicated the endeavors of the Champ's most fervent collectors, as very few of the artifacts from the "Rumble" and the "Thrilla" have been repatriated to America. Here we find an extraordinarily rare example from the latter bout, the brutal third and final meeting of these two Hall of Fame fighters. Rather unimaginatively billing the match as "Super Fight III," the 9x12" broadside trumpets the October 1, 1975 bout at the "Philippine Coliseum," the unusual start time of 10:45 AM chosen for the benefit of the American audience as well as what would prove to be an unsuccessful attempt to minimize the effects of Manila's tropical heat. The duotone poster survives in strong EX condition, clearly spared the public presentation that claimed all but a few scattered survivors of this type.More information about Muhammad Ali Sports Player.
