Description

1975 500th Goal Silver Stick Presented to Johnny Bucyk. Despite his reputation for hard checking and gritty play, Johnny Bucyk was a notably clean player and won the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy for sportsmanship in 1971 and 1974. In addition to his solid reputation, Bucyk was also one of the best scorers in NHL history, and this Wilson Silver Stick award was presented to the Bruins legend in 1975 after he recorded his 500th goal. An extremely impressive personal memento from the Hockey Hall of Famer, it displays an attractive plaque on the blade that reads: "Wilson Silver Stick Award Presented to John "Chief" Bucyk (C) For 500th N.H.L. Goal Oct. 30, 1975 Boston Garden St. Louis Blues vs. Boston Bruins." Letter of provenance from Johnny Bucyk.
