Description
1986 Jose Cruz Game Worn Houston Astros Jersey. Hall of Fame second baseman Joe Morgan was one quoted as saying that Cruz was "One of the best and most underrated players I have ever seen."A veteran of nineteen Major League seasons, Cruz spend the first five with the Cardinals and the last fourteen with the Astros. HIs career totals include 2,251 hits and a lifetime .284 BA.
The late career gamer offered here was worn by Cruz during the1986 campaign when he batted .278. Road off-white Alamo knit pullover sports sewn-on tackle twill identifiers, blue v-neck collar, rainbow trim accentuating the shoulders/sleeves and a "W.A. Goodman & Sons 40" label in the tail. Best of all is the franchise's silver anniversary patch on the left sleeve. Exhibits solid wear and presents well. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
