Description
Early 1970's Roger Staubach Game Worn Jersey. There isn't a whole lot that Roger Staubach hasn't achieved in his career. Between winning the Heisman Trophy with Navy in 1963, leading the Dallas Cowboys to their first ever Super Bowl victory, and having his legacy secured when his name was added to Dallas' Ring of Honor, "Roger the Dodger" memorabilia is obviously a large focus of the collecting community. This Staubach gamer from the early part of his career in Dallas is a gorgeous and unique example. This white mesh shirt, with Durene sleeves has the numerals cut in classic Cowboys' style. Staubach's famed number "12" has been stitched in white tackle twill on each sleeve, front and verso. "Staubach" is sewn on the back in white tackle twill, and the traditional "Southland Athletic" label is stitched in the lower-left front tail, which is the silver version representing the early 1970's with a "[size] 48" flap tag. This Hall-of-Fame-caliber jersey shows light quarterback wear, as the Cowboys did not wear their blue jerseys often, solidifying this as a very tough and desirable example for serious Cowboys collectors.
