Description

1999 Tony Gwynn Hit #2934 Game Used Bat. Signature model Louisville Slugger B267 moved the Hall of Fame San Diego Padre two rungs up the ladder from Wee Willie Keeler, another expert at "hittin' 'em where they ain't." Rock-solid provenance is a key attribute here, as the bat derives directly from Gwynn's personal collection and is accompanied by a COA signed by his wife Alicia. Excellent use is evident, with several ball and stitch marks and a minor handle crack which ended the lumber's active duty. Original grip tape and pine tar on the knob. Length is thirty-four inches, weight thirty and a half ounces, details appearing in marker on the knob along with Gwynn's number "19" jersey number. Gwynn has signed the barrel in 9/10 black sharpie and added his "#2934" hit notation. A fantastic relic from the weeks just preceding Gwynn's 3,000 Hit Club induction, fully deserving of its GU 9 rating. LOA from PSA/DNA. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph). Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).
