Description
1932 Boston Braves Panoramic Team Photograph. Spring training shot captures the Boston National League club in a relaxed posture beneath the palm trees of their Florida practice fields. That's Rabbit Maranville seated at far left, with fellow Hall of Famer Bill McKechnie seated at center. Tom Zachary, the pitcher who surrendered Babe Ruth's sixtieth home run in 1927, is here as well. Some toning and a single two-inch tear is apparent at upper edge but there are no other condition issues of note beyond underlined names of Shires and Chatham, the latter of which is identified as the photo's original owner on verso, where the edges are reinforced with duct tape.
