Description

Circa 1960 Ben Hogan Tournament Used Golf Bag. There's probably not a top golfer in the world that wouldn't agree with the statement that Ben Hogan was the purest ball striker in the history of the game. During his time, he dominated his competition like Nicklaus and Woods have done with theirs. No one approached the game with the mental toughness that Hogan had.

Presented is a beautiful 1950's/60's tournament staff bag used by the great Ben Hogan while he was still active in tournament play. The bag was manufactured by The Hogan Company, which he owned. One look at this bag and you'll understand the saying "quality of workmanship." The bright red leather bag is accented with gold tones. Keeping with the standards of its time, the bag is not cluttered with any advertisements or endorsements, it simply has the owner's name "Ben Hogan" exquisitely painted on the front in gold. The bag is a magnificent piece of golf history. Letter of provenance from consignor.
