1976 Thurman Munson Game Worn New York Yankees Pants - From MVP Season.Thurman Munson was a constant source of offense and a leader in the truest sense. The backstop was a guy who would rather lead by example instead of creating headlines through the media. In 1976, The Captain enjoyed his finest season in the Major Leagues as he won his only MVP. Munson's stat line included a .302 average with 17 home runs and 105 RBIs. It was also the first time since 1964 the pinstriped crew made it back to the World Series. These home pinstriped pants accompanied Munson to the field that season. The proper tags are sewn in the waistline: "Wilson size 35," "Munson 15 76 2 22" (player, number, year, set and inventory) and "64" is markered in vintage black marker. The style of the "64" matches the handwriting of other known exemplars from this time period. The pants show solid use. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
