Description

1925 Oscar Levis Handwritten Signed Postcard. Less than a year after becoming the first pitcher to complete a no-hit game in 20th century Cuban League action, Levis mailed this postcard from Atlantic City, New Jersey to Havana. He notes at top, "Con los 'Estrellas," translated to mean, "with the Stars," an obvious reference to his Cuban Stars baseball club. His elegant script and closing signature rate 9/10 or better, and edge wear to the postcard does little to distract. This is the only known example of Levis' signature, making traditional authentication an impossibility. While there will be no third-party paperwork as a result, Heritage firmly believes in the authenticity of the piece. A tremendously scarce Negro League artifact from this famous Panamanian star.
