1970's Dan Fouts Game Worn San Diego Chargers Jacket from The Dan Fouts Collection. In the early years of his NFL career with the San Diego Chargers, Dan Fouts showed flashes of brilliance amid a developing team. Drafted in 1973, he battled inconsistency and injuries but steadily grew into his role. By the late 1970s, under coach Don Coryell, Fouts began transforming into a prolific passer and the cornerstone of "Air Coryell." Here we present an extraordinary sideline jacket wore during the early part of Fouts' career. The proper size 52 Spanjian tagging remains in the collar, wihle "Fouts Chargers" is screened on the back, with a sewn-on gold "H." The front features a screened-on numeral and helmet design.
