Description

1970's Pete Rose Game Worn & Dual Signed Philadelphia Phillies Cleats with Provenance. Pete's maroon Mizuno cleats date from his first season in The City of Brotherly Love when he hit .331 with ninety runs, 208 hits, forty doubles, ninety-five walks (and just thirty-two strikeouts), a career-high twenty steals and a N.L. leading .418 on base percentage. "14" appears on the heels in faded vintage black marker. Exhibit wonderful season-long wear and the insoles of each shoe are signed and inscribed "To Andy, Good Luck, Pete Rose 10-23-79" (left) and "To Mike, Good Luck, Pete Rose 10-23-79" (left) in vintage blue ballpoint.

The cleats were obtained at a charity event--"The Second Annual Mike Schmidt Golf Day for the benefit of Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic"--and come with a program from that event signed by Rose, Mike Schmidt and Gary Maddox in 9/10 ink. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
