Description

1961 Fleer Wilt Chamberlain Rookie #8 PSA NM-MT 8. Hoops Hall of Famer Wilt Chamberlain stood 7' 1" tall and weighed 275 pounds. He always provided a menacing presence in the lane for any daring opponents and still remains atop the NBA's all-time leaderboard for rebounds with 23,924. Throughout his 14-year career in the league, he averaged an astounding 30.1 points and 22.9 boards every night. A two-time NBA champion with the Philadelphia 76ers (1967) and the Los Angeles Lakers (1972), he was a 13-time All-Star, a seven-time league scoring champ, and was named NBA MVP four times. And just for good measure, he's also the only player in NBA history to record a 100-point game. He performed that feat on March 2, 1962, against the New York Knicks at the Hershey Sports Arena in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Offered is Chamberlain's always-in-demand rookie card from the 1961 Fleer series. The most sought-after single in the entire 66-card set, Wilt's RC captures an up-close look at the impressive center sporting his Philadelphia Warriors uniform. This example of card #8 from the classic '61 Fleer release is found in high-grade fashion with good color, solid centering, milky white borders, four razor-sharp corners and a squeaky clean reverse. For any serious hoops collector, the rookie card of "Wilt the Stilt" is a must-have addition to their personal collection. Graded PSA NM-MT 8.
