1952 Topps Baseball Uncut 50-Card Proof Panels Trio (3). Offered is a trio of 1952 Topps baseball proof panels that are presented as a single sheet inside a matted black frame. The tan matting surrounded by the black frame really makes these panels stand out. You can clearly see Sy Berger's vision with Woody Gelman's design coming together with this offering as the panels have almost a 3D look to them. These panels offer a wonderful opportunity to own a significant piece of history as the 1952 Topps set laid the groundwork for the future of Topps and was quite the warning shot over Bowman's bow. Hall of Famers and stars here include Johnny Mize, Bob Feller and Al Schoendienst. There is some staining across the top of the sheet and minor spots throughout. Small rips along the Schoendienst, Kennedy and Lanier cards and along the right side that affects the Dutch Leonard card. The sheet measures approx. 26" x 18.5" and the frame measures approx. 35" x 27.5".Auction Info
