2016 Kris Bryant Five-for-Five with Two-Home Runs Game Worn Chicago Cubs Jersey--World Championship Season!"It was a good one. It went by too quick. You have to really enjoy a five-for-five day. They don't happen too much."
Who could have imagined that masterpiece wouldn't be the greatest day of his 2016 season, as Bryant would field and fire the final out of the World Series two months later to end over a century of championship drought for the Chicago Cubs. But until that Game Seven jersey makes its way to the auction block, this is about as good as it gets for Wrigleyville--two homers, a double, three singles, five RBI's, four runs scored, and a 9-6 victory over the visiting Milwaukee Brewers.
Believe it or not, this was Bryant's second five-hit, two-homer day in 2016, and his thirtieth home run, each placing him on very short lists for the Major Leagues and Cubs third basemen respectively.
The home white pinstriped beauty exhibits fine wear from that perfect offensive performance, with team logo patches at heart and left sleeve, and a Wrigley Field/Cubs centennial patch at right. "Bryant 17" is applied to verso in blue-on-red tackle twill. Lower left front tail is tagged, "Majestic Authentic Collection Size 48." Interior lower button path holds a special inventory tag.
