2007 Alex Rodriguez 500th Home Run Game Worn & Signed New York Yankees Uniform -- MLB Authentic & Photo Matched! Only two men ever entered the 500 Home Run Club at the House that Ruth Built, and the Babe himself wasn't one of them. The first was Mickey Mantle, on May 14, 1967, and the last was Alex Rodriguez, who wore the presented pinstripes on August 4, 2007 as he made his historic circumnavigation of the bases to enter the esteemed slugging brotherhood. We should note that the bat and ball from this home run are likewise on offer in this Platinum Night auction.

Yankees home uniforms have always been a favorite among photo matchers as the pinstriped patterns are as unique as fingerprints. This particular uniform was an absolute lay-up for the photo matching experts, since Major League Baseball pulled the unwashed uniform aside immediately after the game. Between the pinstripe patterning, the dirt staining and the MLB authentication, it is about as ironclad an offering as exists in the hobby.

The jersey exhibits phenomenal game wear that suggests it may have been worn for more than one season--Rodriguez retired many of his jerseys as he approached this milestone, so it would stand to reason that the equipment staff would source uniforms from the past as the available stock dwindled. "NY" logo is affixed over heart with number "13" on verso. Mourning band on left sleeve honors pitcher Cory Lidle, whose Cirrus SR20 crashed into a Manhattan high-rise in October 2006. Lower left front tail bears "Majestic Authentic Collection [size 48" labeling, with the rest of the subtags worn beyond legibility. The MLB logo at rear exterior collar is also worn away. Infield clay coats the chest below a 9/10 black sharpie inscription reading, "Alex Rodriguez #13, Game Worn 8/4/2007, 500th Career Home run, MVP 2007."

Matching pants are likewise coated in clay on the front and tagged at interior waistband, "Majestic Authentic Collection" with embroidered swatch: "13 Rodriguez 35-40 34 OB C 07." Upper left front is inscribed identically to the jersey. Photos of the signing session are included, along with a letter from Rodriguez. MLB Authentic BB566975 (jersey) & BB566986 (pants).
