2007 Boston Red Sox World Series Championship Ring. It took eighty-six years of suffering to bring "The Curse of the Bambino" to a close, but only three more for the Boston Red Sox to repeat as kings of the baseball world. Facing a white-hot Colorado team that had won twenty-one of its previous twenty-two contests going back to the close of the regular season, the Sox swept Colorado in four straight to earn the Championship hardware presented here.This eighteen-karat white gold "A type" ring is identical in design and construction to those presented to the likes of Beckett, Big Papi and the rest of the playing roster, a hefty, jewel-encrusted stunner weighing fifty-one grams (51 g.). We are told it was one of five commissioned by Red Sox owner John Henry to be gifted to his closest friends and associates.
Ruby-red "sox" form a team logo on the ring's glimmering face, with diamonds and synthetic custom-cut sapphires sharing space with "World Champions" engraved text. Still more diamonds line the perimeter, with total diamond weight calculating to 2.33 carats. A miniature Fenway Park adorns the left shank, with text announcing "7th World Series Championship, 4-0 Sweep." Right shank features a team logo "B," a World Series trophy, and the text, "Boston Red Sox, 2007." Interior band is engraved "Boston Red Sox, 10-28-07," and stamped "Jostens 18K." Band measures to a size twelve and a half (12.5). Mint condition. Generic ring box.
