Description

1969 Topps Lew Alcindor Rookie #25 SGC VG-EX 4. NBA legend Lew Alcindor, who later changed his name to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, was one of the most dominant players in league history whose Hall of Fame career started with the Milwaukee Bucks. The No. 1 overall selection in the 1969 NBA Draft, Alcindor was picked by the Bucks and led the team to a championship in just his second season. When he retired following the 1988-89 season, he was the league's all-time leading scorer with 38,387 points (a mark since broken by LeBron James) and had six NBA titles to his credit. Offered is Alcindor's much coveted 1969 Topps rookie issue. Card #25 from the '69 Topps set shows the 23-year-old superstar sporting his Bucks shooting shirt as he prepares to take a shot during warmups. This mid-grade example would be considered a treasured addition to any serious basketball card collection. Graded SGC VG-EX 4.
