1988 Equitable Series Rings Presented to Al Kaline Lot of 2 from The Al Kaline Collection. In 1988, The Equitable sponsored a series of old timers games where the home team would field a team of its former players and face off against an a team of former players from other teams. Al Kaline played in one game held in Detroit, and one game held in Chicago (White Sox). He was presented with these rings at those games.
Oversized golden rings display raised gold baseball atop blue base, surrounded by "The Equitable Series." Sides report "1988 Old Timers Series, The Equitable" and "The Equitable Series, Major League Baseball." Each ring sits on a brown wood base with golden inscription plates which read: "Chicago White Sox, Comiskey Park, May 21, 1988" and "Detroit Tigers, Tiger Stadium, September 18, 1988." Each ring weighs approximately 160 grams. Letter of provenance from Mark Kaline.
