In 1929, Babe Ruth remained one of baseball's most dominant sluggers, though the New York Yankees finished well behind the pennant-winning Philadelphia Athletics. Ruth hit 46 home runs, drove in 154 runs, and batted .345, continuing to showcase his extraordinary power and presence at the plate.
