Description

1966 Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Michigan State Spartans "Game of the Century" Full Ticket, PSA Authentic--Pop Two, One Superior.

UPDATE: Please note that the ticket has been taped at the perforations on verso.

This scarce beauty dates from one of the greatest and most controversial collegiate football contests in NCAA history. A scheduling quirk brought together two undefeated teams--the 9-0 Spartans and the 8-0 Irish--with national title implications at stake.

The game ended in a 10-10 tie when Notre Dame head coach Ara Parseghian famously decided to wind down the clock instead of trying to score when the Irish had the ball in the closing seconds of the game. Notre Dame ended up winning the NCAA title and Parseghian defended his decision to his dying day.

There are only three exemplars of this full ticket in the PSA population so bid accordingly. Encapsulated by PSA, Authentic.
