Description

1989-90 Scottie Pippen Game Worn Chicago Bulls Jersey. The Chicago Bulls' rise to the top was an arduous one. Michael Jordan could score better than Magic or Bird but his supporting cast lacked. His Airness did what he could but while Larry had The Chief and Kevin McHale and Magic had Kareem and Big Game James, Jordan was a one-man show. This changed in 1987 when the Bulls swapped picks with the Seattle Supersonics during the draft. A small forward from Arkansas proved to be just what MJ and the Bulls needed. While his ascension took a bit of time, Pippen eventually became a viable scoring and defensive threat for the Bulls. After a few setbacks, the Bulls finally had enough firepower to beat Detroit and forge their own dynasty.

Pippen comfortably slipped into this "Sand Knit size 46" jersey during the 1989-90 season as the balance of power was beginning to shift in the Eastern Conference. Each of the identifiers is heat pressed with the numbers and NOB in thick plasticized material. "Pippen" is arched in single-color white and the drop is a magnificent 5" from the lowermost white neck stripe. Four labels are applied in the tail: "89" (year), "3" L.B.," Sand Knit size and Bulls exclusivity. Pippen game worn jerseys can be broken up into three categories: Sand Knit, Champion and Nike. Undoubtedly the toughest ones to secure are the coveted Sand Knit early-career jerseys. Champion-made jerseys were a bit easier to obtain as were the Nike uniforms. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
