Description
2008 Louisiana State University National Championship Ring Presented to Ciron Black. Each year the SEC fields the best gridiron teams and the league fights it out for supremacy over the college football world. In 2007, LSU, despite two triple overtime loses, righted the ship and won their tenth SEC title. Twenty-one second quarter points helped the Tigers fend off Ohio State 38-24 in the National Championship contest. This massive size fourteen and a half ring (not gold) was issued to offensive tackle Ciron Black for his efforts. Black holds the LSU record for most career starts (53) which is only one away from the NCAA record. "National Champions" surrounds CZ's outlining a football with "1" centered. One shank reveals "Black 12 2 2008" and a BCS emblem. "LSU Tiger Football SEC Champs" and a yellow team helmet occupy the other shank. A Jostens trademark and 'ELT" are engraved inside. No ten karat rings were made, and ELT represents three to five karats of gold. A velvet Jostens box is included. Weight is a robust forty-eight grams (48g.). Letter of provenance from Ciron Black.
