Description
1952 Topps Frank Campos (Black Star on Back) Rookie #307 SGC VG-EX 4. Frank Campos made his debut in 1946 after playing ball in Portsmouth and Havana, Cuba. Although his playing career wasn't notable, but his contribution to the hobby is pure "star" status. A typical 1952 Topps card in every aspect except for one. The Campos "Black Star" variation shows one red star and one black star overprinting the star just to the right of "TOPPS BASEBALL" along the bottom of the reverse. Kudos to the pressman who caught the minor production glitch. Graded SGC VG-EX 4.Auction Info
