1928 Tabacalera La Morena Babe Ruth #98 PSA Poor 1 - Only Three PSA-Graded Examples! From a new to the hobby collection believe it or not was 95% actors and actresses and landmarks & landscapes. Card #98 from this rare series features a classic pose of Ruth, swinging for the seats. A testament to the popularity of USA Baseball and Babe Ruth is confirmed as the sport is represented by at least twenty-five of the 200 cards that comprise a complete set. The 1-13/16 x 2-1.2" real-photo card are all among the rarest 20th century issues. With the internet, many foreign sets became easier to find in the American market. That is not true with the 1928 Tabacalera La Morena set. The real photo cards were circulated hand-colored as you see here. The white area to the right of Ruth's head and along the lower left edge is surface loss, other areas are not. Graded PSA Poor 1 with a quality photo and well-done hand color adornment.
