1963 Topps Lou Brock #472 PSA Mint 9 - Only Two Higher. Every Cubs fan who looks at this card will take pause, tilt there head gently to one side and let out a heavy sigh. Lou Brock in a Cubs cap poses the ultimate 'What Could Have Been? to the those who bleed Cubbie's Blue. "The trade" as it is called involved trading the future HoFer, Jack Spring and Paul Toth to the St. Louis Cardinals for Ernie Broglio, Bobby Shantz, and Doug Clemens. Everyone knows what Brock accomplished. Ernie Broglio & Bobby Shantz were out of baseball by 1966, Doug Clemens batted .279 and .221 in '64 and '65 and was traded to the Phillies in 1966.
