1888 N43 Allen & Ginter Charles Getzin SGC Fair 1.5. Cards from this absolutely beautiful series are difficult to find in any condition. The N43 set of "The World Champions" are enhanced versions of the 2nd series of Allen & Ginter "World's Champions" which we call N29. This 50-card edition is an 1888 release of fifty subjects including eight baseball players. It was a concept that elevated then among the finest 19th century tobacco card inserts. Offered is Charles Getzin, pitcher for the Detroit Wolverines. The card presents at the excellent-mint level with some surface loss found on the reverse. Graded SGC 20 Fair 1.5.
