Joe DiMaggio Single Signed Baseball. Joe DiMaggio was a legendary center fielder who played his entire 13-year career (1936-1951) with the New York Yankees, known for his elegance, consistency, and all-around excellence. He was a 3-time AL MVP, a 13-time All-Star, and helped lead the Yankees to 9 World Series titles. DiMaggio is best remembered for his iconic 56-game hitting streak in 1941, a record that still stands and is considered one of the most unbreakable in sports. Nicknamed the "Yankee Clipper" for his graceful play, he was also a major cultural figure, later famously married to Marilyn Monroe. DiMaggio was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1955.
