Description
1954 Topps Tommy Lasorda Rookie #132 PSA EX 5. Decades before he became the longtime manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Tommy Lasorda was a pitcher for the team. In 1954 and '55, Lasorda played sparingly for the Blue Crew in Brooklyn, racking up just 13 innings' worth of work in which he struck out nine batters. As a skipper, over 22 seasons, he fared better as he recorded an overall record of 1,599 wins against 1,439 losses and won two World Series titles (1981 and 1988). Offered is Lasorda's 1954 Topps rookie card, which combines a nice color headshot alongside a smaller, black-and-white inset pic of Tommy finishing off a pitch.
