Description

1959 MLB All-Star Game Forbes Field Ticket Stub, PSA Authentic. The 1959 MLB All-Star Game was unique because it was the first year Major League Baseball held two All-Star Games, with the first contest played on July 7, 1959, at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh. The National League won 5-4, highlighted by a two-run homer from hometown star Bill Mazeroski and strong relief pitching from Don Drysdale and Elroy Face. Willie Mays also made his presence felt with key hits and dazzling defense, underscoring his growing stardom. This game not only gave fans more exposure to the league's top talent but also marked the beginning of a short-lived experiment with multiple All-Star Games to raise money for the players' pension fund.

Offered is a ticket stub to the Midsummer Classic (East). Graded PSA Authentic.
