1923 V137 Willard Chocolate jack Dempsey PSA G-VG 2.5. A knockout of a card honoring one of the greatest fighters of all time. Jack Dempsey held the title "World Heavyweight Champion" from 1919-1926. Dempsey's career lasted from 1913-1927 and he will forever be known for the "long count" battle against Gene Tunney where Tunney was allowed extra time because Dempsey refused to return to a neutral corner ( a newly establish rule). A powerful hitter, Dempsey's lifetime record stands at 66-6-11 including 51 knockouts. Graded PSA Good+ 2.5 due to light creases which fail to detract from the visual appeal of the card. Creases aside, the card boasts great coloring and quality corners.Auction Info
