1989 Texas Rangers Scorebook (with Sammy Sosa Debut) from The Eric Nadel Collection. A thirteen-victory improvement upon their 1988 record carried the Rangers above the .500 mark, but the team's decades-long playoff drought continued during this fourth season under the management of Bobby Valentine. This was Nadel's personal scorebook beginning with a March 3 spring training contest (Sammy Sosa spring training debut), continuing on through Opening Day on April 4, on to June 16 (Sammy Sosa official debut) to June 21 (Sammy Sosa first home run) and ending on July 19. A fascinating personal archive that offers a rare view into the data-heavy world of professional sports broadcasting. Spiral bound notebook measures approximately 9x11x1", with "1989 Book I" written on the cover.Nadel has autographed the scorebook and added a "HOF 2014" inscription.
More Information: 100% of the proceeds from The Eric Nadel Collection will go to the Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas and each lot will be accompanied by a Letter of Provenance signed by Eric Nadel
