Description
1961 Nu-Card Football Box With 24 Unopened Packs. Offered is a 1961 Nu-Card football counter display box containing 24 unopened packs priced at the time for 5-cents each. By design, these packs were not sealed with wax or any glue. Utilized was a high pressure crimping process that created adhesion via high pressure. The packs may contain a Mint or even Gem Mint card of Ernie Davis (his rookie debut), Roman Gabriel, John Hadl, Gary Collins and others. Each pack also contains a College Pennant insert which today are much tougher to find in high grade than the cards themselves. The original display box exhibits moderate staining and surface wear.
