1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #149 SGC 10 Poor 1. It would be easy to go into a lengthy essay about the achievements of Babe Ruth but the first line on the reverse says it all, "Home run king of the big leagues." As a tribute to his sovereignty, Ruth's likeness was featured no less than four times in the 1933 Goudey series, more times than any other player. Offered is an example of card #149, graded SGC 10 Poor 1 or the "red background" Ruth. Arguably one of more widely pursued of the universally coveted quartet.
