Description

1987 New York Mets Team Signed Baseball. The 1987 New York Mets entered the season with high expectations after winning the World Series in 1986 but ultimately fell short, finishing second in the NL East with a 92-70 record. Plagued by injuries-especially to key pitchers like Dwight Gooden and Bob Ojeda-and inconsistent play, the team couldn't repeat its previous dominance. Offensively, the Mets remained strong, with standout performances from Darryl Strawberry, Howard Johnson, and Kevin McReynolds. Despite their talent and a late-season push, they couldn't catch the division-winning St. Louis Cardinals. The season was viewed as a disappointment for a team built to contend for multiple titles.

Offered is a Rawlings ONL-Giamatti baseball signed by more than thirty members of the squad. Among them are Gary Carter, David Cone, Dwight Gooden, Keith Hernandez, Mel Stottlemyre, Davey Johnson, Bud Harrelson, Wally Backman, Darryl Strawberry and more. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
