Description

1950's Eddie Mathews Game Used Bat. This rookie-era lumber is a particularly rare variation issued in conjunction with the "Silver Sluggers" instructional league, sponsored by the Milwaukee Braves to teach baseball skills to area youth. The "Silver Slugger" stamping on the knob set's this example apart from the other signature model Hillerich & Bradsby S2 bats attributed to Mathews. These bats were not made available to the public and could only have been ordered by the Braves organization. This example shows light use and has mounting holes at each end. Length and weight are thirty-four inches and thirty-two ounces respectively. Definitely the scarcest gamer you'll find from this 500 Home Run Club member. SCD A4.LOA from Dan Knoll & Dave Bushing/ SCD Authentic.
