Description

1951 World Series Game One Ticket Stub & Program. Little did the fan who brought this pair back from the Bronx on October 4, 1951 know that he had just witnessed a truly historic event. Less than twenty-four hours after Bobby Thomson's "Shot," two rookies named Willie Mays and Mickey Mantle squared off in their first World Series appearances. The stub shows evidence of mild handling with no tears, creases or stains, EX-MT. The program, which is unscored but does have line-ups written in vintage pencil (proper Koslo vs. Reynolds pitching match-up) is in very similar solid and complete condition. An important pair, made all the more remarkable by its ability to withstand the ravages of time so expertly.
