Description
Circa 1909 Shibe Park Stadium Seat. This masterfully restored seat with the coveted "ribbon" figural side is among the most attractive of all stadium seats from the Dead Ball era. Imagine the history taking place within the crack of a bat from this mute witness, as Connie Mack led his $100,000 infield anchored by Hall of Famers Eddie Collins and Home Run Baker to four pennants and three World Series victories in the years immediately following the ballclub's move to Shibe. Today the seat appears exactly as it did back in those Philadelphia Athletics glory days, with perfect red paint and a yellow number "3" stenciled on the top slat. A perfect companion to any and all of the amazing Athletics pieces available in this auction.Auction Info
