Description

1950 All-Star Game Plaque Presented to Jackie Robinson. National League president Ford Frick formally extends his thanks to baseball's greatest hero for his service as second baseman in a grueling fourteen-inning victory over the Americans. The attractive wood and engraved metal plaque reads, "All-Star Award, National League, to Jackie Robinson in Token of His Selection to Baseball's All-Star Team, 1950." This marvelous presentational piece measures 7x8.5" in size and shows light wear but still retains incredible visual appeal to match its historical relevance. Included is a personal letter of provenance signed by Jackie's widow Rachel Robinson.
