Description
1991 Darren Carrington Game Issued Helmet & Interception Football. The rookie San Diego Chargers safety offers two pieces for our football collecting clientele. First we have a game issue "Riddell" helmet in classic Chargers style, with Carrington's number "29" on verso. The helmet is signed in gold paint pen by the full staff of well over fifty fellow teammates, notably Carrington himself, Seau, Thigpen, Harmon, Butts and dozens more. The autographs are uniformly NRMT or better. Also here is the ball that Carrington caught for his first interception, surely an even greater thrill as it came during his first NFL start. The fantastic paint job has seen a decent amount of wear, but neither the display value nor the historic appeal is significantly hampered by this. LOA from PSA/DNA.Auction Info
