Description

1910 E90-2 American Caramel High Near Set (9/11). Offered is a 9-card near set of E90-2 American Caramel featuring the 1909 Pittsburgh Pirates. American Caramel was a Pennsylvania-based company, so after the Pirates won the pennant in 1909 and went on to beat the Tigers in the World Series it was only logical they honor the hometown squad. These cards are significantly more difficult than the standard E90-1 American Caramels issued a year earlier because they were only issued regionally. This presentation is the majority of the set that is in the #1 position on the PSA Set registry. The nine cards generate a 4.55 GPA. Includes: PSA EX-MT 6: 2 cards, Deacon Phillippe (Pop Two, None Higher!) and Dots Miller (Pop Two, None Higher!); PSA EX 5: 2 cards, Nick Maddox (Pop Four, None Higher!) and Owen Wilson (Pop Two, None Higher!); PSA VG-EX 4: 4 cards, Babe Adams (Pop Two, Two Higher), Ham Hyatt (Pop Five, Two Higher), Sam Leever (Pop Three, Two Higher) and Tommy Leach (Pop Four, Two Higher); PSA VG 3: 1 card, George Gibson (Pop Four, Six Higher).
