Description

1930 Jim Barnes Presentational Trophy. Another entry from Barnes' bulging trophy case, this figural relic is a nod of recognition from those who handled tickets and crowds, presumably at an event featuring the legendary golfer. Affixed to the painted teal base is an engraved plaque with the details: "To Jim Barnes, A Testimonial of Appreciation from the First Presbyterian Ushers Ass'n, New Rochelle, N.Y., 9-20-30." Height is ten inches, inclusive of the slightly bent club held aloft by the figural golfer. Light tarnishing represents the sole other condition caveat. Letter of provenance from Barnes family.
