1915 Boston Red Sox Mailer from Babe Ruth's Rookie Season. Dating from Babe Ruth's official rookie season when Boston captured the World Series, this extremely rare mailer pays homage to the franchises' 1911 campaigned when they held their Spring Training in Redondo Beach, California which is southwest of Los Angeles. Text includes "Red Sox Special, Coast to Coast" in red typeface, plus "1911." Graphics include the states of Massachusetts and California connected by a coal fuel locomotive and five-car passenger train heading westward, executed in high quality lithography. "American Bank Note Co. Boston Litho." appears at top right. Exhibits some toning but remains majestic.Auction Info
