Description

1913 New York Yankees [Ray] "Keating Day" Ribbon. Rare and exciting relic from the franchise's first official season as the "Yankees." This ribbon was worn on the lapel of a fan on hand at Manhattan's Polo Grounds to honor nineteen-year old ace right-hander Ray Keating, who pitched his club to a three to two victory over the Chicago White Sox on June 7, 1913. Blue silk ribbon is attractively embossed in gold, and measures 1.5x4". Very minimal staining is barely worth a mention, particularly considering the fact that this is likely the only surviving specimen on Earth.
