Description

1980's-90's Dave Winfield Game Used Bat. He only led the league in a Triple Crown category once (118 RBI in 1979), but Dave Winfield was one of the most productive and consistent hitters of the 1970's and 1980's. With career statistics of .283-465-1833, Winfield made the Hall of Fame in 2001. It seems he could have chosen any sport and been successful, as he was drafted by four teams in three sports (baseball, basketball, football) after college. He even was voted MVP of the College World Series as a pitcher.

It's certainly not his pitching prowess that brings attention to this bat, however. This thirty-five and one-half inch bat weighs just under thirty-four ounces and was made by Louisville Slugger. A W273 model, there are no markings on the knob. The handle has been wrapped with athletic tape, then a layer of pine tar was applied. Nice scuffing and ball marks show good use, along with a crack in the barrel. This is an excellent example of a game used Hall of Fame bat.
