Description

1969-70 Chicago Blackhawks Prince of Wales Trophy Presented to Bobby Hull. After coming off a less-than-impressive sixth-place finish in the East Division during the previous season, the 1969-70 Chicago Blackhawks benefited greatly in the off season when they picked up goaltender Tony Esposito in the intra-league draft, and also named Pat Stapleton as their new team captain. Despite a slow start to the season, the '69-70 Windy City squad finished the regular season with an impressive 99 points and were awarded that season's Prince of Wales Trophy.

Presented here is the original mini trophy that was presented to hockey legend Bobby Hull after his team's memorable year. We would like to stress that this piece is the original trophy that he was given to Hull in 1970, and not a replica or duplicate. Standing at 12", it displays a front plaque that reads "HRH Prince of Wales Robert Hull ", while the engraved plaque on the verso reads "NHL Champions Winners 1969-70 Chicago Blackhawks." Moderate wear is exhibited throughout.
