Description

1950's Dizzy Dean Sheriff Badge. In between his two-year stint in the Army (1926-28) and his minor and Major League debuts (1930), Dizzy Dean spent the year of 1929 playing semi-professional baseball for the San Antonio Public Service Corp. for which he won sixteen games and led them to two championships.

San Antonio never forgot Diz and his contributions to The Lone Star State. That was probably why he was presented with this golden five-point honorary sheriff badge which reads "Dizzy Dean, Deputy Sheriff, Bexar County." Attaches with metal pin and latch on back. Affixed to black case. Presents well and without distraction.
