Description

1973 Muhammad Ali vs. Ken Norton Madison Square Garden Closed Circuit Fight Poster. Just five months after Ali lost both his Heavyweight title and temporary use of his jaw to Ken Norton's thunderous blows, he regained the belt in a twelve-round split decision in Norton's hometown of San Diego, California. New York City fight fans were beckoned to Madison Square Garden to watch the action on closed-circuit television with this colorful poster which teases that Norton "promises to flatten Ali." Some wear and tape stains at the edges are the result of display on the streets of the City, but our catalog imagery should illustrate that the effects are minor. Poster measures 22x28" and is matted and framed to final dimensions of 29x35".
