Description

1948-49 Hank Sauer Game Used Bat. The 1952 Most Valuable Player of the National League instilled this signature model Hillerich & Bradsby H4 with outstanding use in the days surrounding his transition from the Cincinnati Reds to the Chicago Cubs. Each of these years would find him in the top five rankings for long balls, launching thirty-five and thirty one respectively. The barrel is coated with ball and stitch marks, and a repaired handle crack is further witness to the hard-slugging labor endured. Enormous at a length of thirty-six inches and a weight of thirty-nine ounces, the presented lumber has merited a grade of GU 7, making this one of the finest of the very few representations to reach the auction block. LOA from PSA/DNA.
