Description

1987 Talladega 500 Grand Marshall's Flag Signed by 39 of 40 Drivers. Motorsports Hall of Famer Bill Elliot was the big winner at this 1987 running of the Talladega 500, even setting a course lap speed record of 212.809 mph along the way. Thirty-nine of the forty drivers competing in what proved itself to be one of the most noteworthy NASCAR races in history signed this Grand Marshall's flag at the Alabama auto racing landmark. All signatures are rendered in 10/10 black sharpie, and include Davey and Bobby Allison, Earnhardt, Darrell and Michael Waltrip, Yarborough, Labonte, Wallace, Petty, Marlin, Foyt, Petty, Jerrett, the very tough Alan Kulwicki and more. One of the most comprehensive groupings of signatures we've encountered from a Talladega event, presented in its most attractive format. The flag measures 24x33" in size, with some paper affixed to verso from original display, not affecting the obverse. A dream come true for NASCAR fans. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
