Description
Circa 1941 Boston Red Sox Signed Photographs with Foxx (3), Williams. Charming little album provides a fan's eye view of Fenway's finest, with thirty-nine one of a kind snapshots snapped inside and just outside the hallowed baseball grounds. Most are portraits of the players themselves, capturing the likes of Jimmie Foxx, a young Ted Williams, Joe Cronin, Bobby Doerr, Dom DiMaggio, Moe Berg, and even a visiting Bob Feller. Twenty-three of the photos are signed, as follows: Foxx (3, two very lightly brushed when ink was wet), Williams, Dom DiMaggio (3), Earl Johnson, Charlie Wagner (3), Doerr (3, each 7/10), Cronin (2), Mickey Harris (2), Harris and Mike Ryba together, Ryba, Emerson Dickman, Tex Hughson and Joe Dobson together, Earl Johnson. Signatures are 8/10 or better unless otherwise noted. Photos are glued to black scrapbook pages, though they could almost certainly be removed with a little care.
